Poland Just Became the 6th Largest EU Economy. Western Europe Should Be Terrified.

Poland just became the sixth-largest EU economy, leapfrogging Switzerland and Belgium. The old story—EU handouts and cheap Ukrainian labor—misses the real shift: Poland converted external inputs into durable domestic capacity. Now it’s a direct competitor to Western Europe’s core. The center of gravity is moving east, and the old guard hasn’t prepared.
