The Real Reason Nobody Switches to ‘Better’ Markdown
Shrimple promises a cleaner, nicer Markdown syntax. But the real reason it—and every other ‘Markdown killer’—will fail has nothing to do with technical merit. It’s a social coordination problem. The cost of fragmentation always outweighs the marginal benefit of a slightly better syntax. Markdown is good enough, and good enough wins.
