Zig’s Build System Is Brilliant. It’s Also a Trap.
Zig’s build system promises to elegantly package C/C++ projects and save us from CMake hell. But this convenience is a trap. By encouraging custom build scripts over upstream tooling, we risk creating a fragmented Tower of Babel, mirroring the Bazel problem. We are trading standardized nightmares for customized utopias no one else can enter.
